HPE sprockets were created to eliminate downtime when replacing engineer-class sprockets that are otherwise custom-bored or custom-manufactured. Additionally, these sprockets are more economical upfront than having a machine shop custom-produce a one-off sprocket. HPE Sprocket Advantages
Being made from 1045 steel rather than other materials like 1018 gives these sprockets an advantage in terms of strength and lifespan. 1045 steel offers excellent tensile strength and hardness, making it suitable for even the most demanding of applications.
With hardened teeth, users get the advantage of an extended operating life due to a highly reduced rate of tooth-wear, enhanced load capacities, shock and fatigue resistance, and lower long-term operating costs. All of our unique HPE Sprockets feature precision hardened teeth, so users get the most out of every sprocket.
Each sprocket is manufactured to precision tolerances for the best possible performance. This also ensures that the rate of wear is even across all teeth to improve service life.
What truly makes HPE Sprockets a game-changer is their versatility. Having a modular sprocket capable of accepting a QD or Taper Lock bushing opens the doors for a broad range of inch, metric, and idler configurations from stock components.
HPE Sprockets are supplied with a superb black oxide coating, providing a thin layer of corrosion resistance. Our black oxide coating also improves lubricity and reduces light reflection.
